Does the course work with a particular deck?

The sections that delve into specific imagery and symbolism refer to the Universal Waite deck, which you must have before your first coaching session. The course also includes exercises, techniques and spreads which can be used with any tarot deck you like.

How long is the course?

The course consists of 15 lessons, sent to you via email over a period of 18 months.

I don't have access to a computer. Can I still take the course?

How much are the lessons?

The lessons are available for a single payment of $195 (non-certificate course) or $1195 for the degree program. A 12-month payment plan of $100/month is also available for the degree program.

Can I enroll in the non-certificate course and upgrade to the degree program later?

Yes. Simply select the Coaching Upgrade option in the store when you are ready. The cost of the upgrade is $1000 and can be paid all at once or on a 10-month installment plan.

Is there a deadline for upgrading?

No. You can upgrade to the degree program at any time, even if you have received all the lessons.

Do I get a refund if I cancel my enrollment?

We have a 30-day money back guarantee. You can cancel any time before your second lesson arrives for a full refund.

Can I begin the course at any time?

You can start at any time. Once you click the link in your confirmation email, you'll get your first lesson right away! Subsequent lessons will arrive in your inbox the same time each month.

I'm already taking another tarot course (ATA, BOTA, etc). How is The Tarot School Correspondence Course different? Can I take them together?

The Tarot School Correspondence Course is the only single source that we know of that offers a thorough explanation of all the traditional symbolism and imagery in all the cards, starting with the very first lesson. There are new ways of looking at tarot, and many exercises and spreads, developed exclusively for this course, that will deepen your experience of the cards no matter what your current level of expertise. The course stands beautifully on its own or can be a powerful complement to your current tarot studies.

Is there any personal interaction, or is the course strictly informational?

You have two choices as to how you experience the course. You may use it as reference material and do the exercises on your own. Or, you may enroll in the Correspondence Course Degree Program. This option will give you the added benefit of personal coaching sessions to help you with the lessons and provide feedback on your work, as well as earning you a Tarot School Degree.(Conversational English proficiency is a must!)

Is a Tarot School Degree the same as Certification?

If I enroll in the degree program, how long do I have to complete the lessons?

You have as long as you need. We realize that your life is complex and you may not always be able to devote the time you'd like to the coursework. Even when you do, we encourage you to take your time and savor the experience.

How are the coaching sessions available?

Coaching sessions are held over Zoom.

Is there any additional independent reading needed?

Additional reading will be useful where you wish to investigate esoteric material in depth, and in general, it is a good idea to read constantly and widely to broaden your understanding of tarot and fill in gaps in your knowledge. However, no additional reading is required to take the course.

Is there a detailed course outline I can look at?

No. The lessons are too intricate to lend themselves easily to an outline format. However, you can get a taste of the type of material you'll find in the course by reading the Course Excerpts.
